Dr. Reuben Merideth provides free CERF exams on all CHAMP Service Dogs in Training for three years. CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) Exams are screening examinations performed by board certified veterinary ophthalmologists that are used to identify changes within the eyes that suggest the presence of heritable eye diseases in dogs.

Dr. Taylor Sullivan, who works at Fox Veterinary Hospital at the Kirkwood location, is the program veterinarian for CHAMP Assistance Dogs. Dr. Sullivan has been a partner with CHAMP for many years. She even served as a puppy raiser for a service dog-in-training for CHAMP.

We appreciate her kind and knowledgeable approach to caring for our dogs. Special thanks to Dr. Stuart Robson the co-owner of FoxCreek, Joumana Palusci the Practice Manager, and all the techs and other support staff at Fox Creek that have provided excellent care to our Service Dogs-in-Training.

Dr. Kimberly Klotz, who works at Vogel Animal Hospital, has provided outstanding veterinary care for CHAMP Service Dogs-in-Training for many years. At 16 week of age, our Service Dogs-in-Training visit Vogel Veterinary Hospital for PennHip diagnostic testing. PennHip is a unique radiographic technique that provides a more accurate prediction of the potential for a dog to develop osteoarthritis from hip dysplasia and other joint related problems later in life. Thank you Dr. Klotz and Vogel Animal Hospital for providing this service for our future service dogs and facility dogs.
